Dr.
Okorie is our Co-Founder and Co-Editor-in-Chief. He has been a certified
diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, since September
1992. He is also a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO) and currently serves as an MRO for various corporations in Northern Virginia. Dr. Okorie obtained his medical degree from the University of Nigeria
Teaching Hospital, Enugu, Nigeria, in 1986. He completed his residency,
at Howard University Hospital, Washington, D.C., in 1992. In his third
year of residency training, he was appointed Chief Resident of Internal
Medicine program. He successfully completed one year of Clinical Fellowship,
in Critical Care Medicine, at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center,
Pittsburgh, PA. Dr Okorie is currently the Director and Founder of an urgent medical care center in Fairfax, VA; Fair Lakes Urgent Care Center.

He is the CEO/President of STAT Medical Care, PC, a Virginia medical corporation.
He also holds the position of Vice-President, MedStar Corporation, an
Emergency and Critical Care Medicine consulting company that assists developing
countries in the acquisition of Intensive care medicine technology and
training. He practices primary care medicine in Fairfax, VA and is a part
time Intensivist at Doctors Community Hospital, Lanham, MD. Because of
